It's time for an Early Works update already! April has flown by and sometimes I feel more behind than ever. 

As I was doing my morning devotions, I'm always struck by how they are spot on. Today spoke about when your basic needs are lacking...time, energy, money, etc. To consider yourself blessed. 

  Some may say, WHAT!

 However, it goes on to say.... when you begin a day with inadequate resources, you must concentrate your efforts on the present moment. This is where you are meant to live - in the present; it is the place where I always await you. Awareness of your inadequacy is a rich blessing, training you to rely wholeheartedly on Me. My Power is made perfect in weakness.

Amen!

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

2 Corinthians 12:9 

 

As for Early Works, I'm offering a little wood box for some of your small sewies, buttons, and keepsakes...and I've got a few goodies tucked inside to get ya started. Goes live tonight!

The Word....

Recently, something our pastor said has really been sticking with me... I'm sure he'd be glad to know I was paying attention! ;o)

 he said,

" What's inside of you comes out when you're squeezed." 

Basically meaning, when things are going rough, how do you react, with God's love or bad temper/words, etc. 

~ Human emotions ~

We all mess up, and yes, you ask God for forgiveness, but that simple little statement has been staying at the front of my mind.

....the joy of the Lord is your strength.

~ Nehemiah 8:10

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

~ Romans 12:2
