I'm trying something new around here and this is my 2nd piece. Even though they are a lot of work, I really enjoy doing these fruit creations! They start out like this... and I admit, I decided not to use the apples in this one.
Then the watermelon is cut like a basket...
After about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish...
here is the finished product!

Your watermelon basket looks great. I don't think I'd have the patience to spend 2.5 hours making it. My kids would have it eaten in 30 minutes or less. :-)
